PRODUCT – Cookin Good Whole Young Chicken

AFFECTED REGIONS – New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania

BRIEF – On September 6, 2014, Perdue Food LLC recalled 720 pounds of raw, fresh chicken products that were produced on September 3. The goods were available to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania supermarkets and restaurants. It was discovered that that a plant worker turned the wrong water valve, causing significant temperature deviations and variances in the product. Read the press release for full details.

PRODUCT – Pharmacy Creations (4 vitamin & mineral supplement lots)

AFFECTED REGIONS – Florida, New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico

BRIEF – Pharmacy Creations has recalled four vitamin and mineral supplement product lots after it was discovered that the product lots may not have been sterile. It is uncertain if the specified lots are actually contaminated, and there have been no reported adverse events associated with use of the products. Still, there are serious risks for users of these lots of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Glutathione, Magnesium Chloride and Tropi/Cyclo/Phenyl/Tobra/Flurb which could lead to a life threatening infection. The voluntary recall was initiated after Pharmacy Creations received testing results from their former testing agency. Read the press release for full details.
