Blytheco got involved with the American Cancer Society in 1999 when our programming manager passed away from melanoma cancer. We found that this was a constructive way for us to deal with our grief and to do something meaningful along side with others who were experiencing the same things. We celebrate survivors and honor those who have lost the battle, together as a company and together as a community.
The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is upon us. Blytheco is very active in raising donations for the American Cancer Society all year long which culminates in the Relay for Life event. Our Relay team “The Cancer Bashers” will participate again at this year’s event, held October 3-4 . The Relay is a 24-hour event from 10 am Saturday to 10 am Sunday as the team members alternate walking around the track for the 24 hours. Why 24 hours? Because a cancer patient deals with cancer 24-hours a day, EVERY day.
