As a follow-up to last week’s “Next Steps for BusinessWorks” webinar, we wanted to provide some additional details to answer the burning questions we are hearing from our customers about the future product retirement plans for BusinessWorks.

What is the Retirement Date for BusinessWorks?

A specific date has not been determined. Blytheco will keep its customers posted as soon as a date is published.

How can I continue to get BusinessWorks support?

Sage and Blytheco will continue to offer support through the Product Retirement Date.

Can I still get Payroll Updates for BusinessWorks?

On-plan customers will receive all necessary payroll updates through the retirement date

How will we receive Maintenance Releases and upgrades through the Retirement date?

Sage will provide at least one maintenance release (to include minor enhancements) each year prior to product retirement. Staying on plan guarantees that you have the latest version.

What if I want to stay on BusinessWorks past the retirement date?

The system will continue to function after the retirement date as long as no changes are made to the system or hardware. You simply will not have access to updates, maintenance releases, or Sage support after retirement.

What is my BusinessWorks Upgrade cost for Sage 100?

On-plan customers can migrate to Sage 100 ERP at a reduced fee, with a trade-in credit ranging from $750 to $1,500 per user. Contact us for your personalized price quote.

What’s the difference between BusinessWorks and Sage 100?

In a nutshell, Sage 100 offers greater functionality, scalability, and customization/personalization than BusinessWorks. For more detail about areas of difference, check out the on-demand webinar “The Next Step for BusinessWorks.”

Can I go to the Cloud?

If you feel that a cloud solution might be a good option for you, consider deploying a hosted Sage 100 solution with a Subscription-based payment plan. Contact us for more information.

Will I need to change my hardware to go to Sage 100?

The Supported Platform Matrices (SPMs) showing server, workstation and operating requirements for Sage 100 are below. Many BusinessWorks customers find they need to upgrade equipment for Sage 100 compatibility.
