Sage North America announced yesterday that Sage Simply Accounting Pro 2011 is now available for nonprofit organizations and public libraries through TechSoup Global, the recognized leader in connecting philanthropic organizations to technological solutions. By way of the TechSoup nonprofit product donation service, which provides access to discounted or donated software/hardware to eligible charities, the bilingual English/Spanish version of Sage Simply Accounting Pro is available to U.S. organizations while the bilingual English/French version is available to Canadian organizations.
“Sage Simply Accounting was designed for the non-accountant, which is ideal for nonprofit organizations where team members often handle multiple responsibilities, including bookkeeping, in which they may not have the experience and are learning on the fly,” says Jamie Sutherland, vice president and general manager for Sage Simply Accounting. “The easy-to-learn approach we’ve taken allows nonprofit organizations to get the accuracy, control and information they need so they can focus more time on executing their fundraising strategies and running their operations efficiently.”
On the cusp of its 25th anniversary, Sage Simply Accounting is presently the number one small-to-mid market accounting software in Canada with over 500,000 business users. In the U.S., it is the only accounting software that is completely bilingual with real time translations.
“Adding English/Spanish Sage Simply Accounting to our portfolio provides an easy-to-use accounting option for nonprofit organizations — particularly those that serve the more than 35 million people in the United States who speak Spanish as a primary language at home,” cited Gayle Carpentier, Chief Business Development Officer, at TechSoup Global.
Sage North America began its philanthropic partnership with TechSoup Global in 2008. As of this article, Sage has donated some 1,800 single-user licenses to U.S. and Canadian nonprofits using the program, which include some of Sage’s other software solutions:
- Sage ACT! (U.S. only)
- Sage Fundraising 50 (on limited basis, U.S. only)
- Sage Payment Solutions (U.S. only)
- Sage Peachtree Premium Accounting for Nonprofits (U.S. only)
