(For more details on the enhancements that will be included in 4.5, please refer to the 4.5 Pre-Release Guide.) It takes just a few minutes to participate.
4. Are any new features and functionality available for Sage ERP MAS Intelligence with 4.5?
Yes – New features and functionalities included in Sage ERP MAS Intelligence for 4.5 include the ability to attach Reporting Trees to Report Designer layouts. The new trees will expand the options that companies can use for different reporting structures. Also included in 4.5 will be more flexibility on how reports or any Excel workbooks are distributed, to include distribution via email, publishing to a public server, and FTP publishing. With Microsoft’s permission, Sage is developing a utility that will decrypt proprietary FRx files. The conversion utility will allow consultants or users familiar with FRx to recreate similar reports in Intelligence more quickly, and reduce the effort in migrating FRx reports over to Intelligence.
5. If a Sage ERP MAS 200 customer wants to move to Sage ERP MAS 200 SQL 4.5, will any Sage migration fees apply?
Existing customers will be able to migrate to the Sage ERP MAS 200 SQL product without incurring Sage migration fees. 7. Will my staff need training on the new features of 4.5?
Although system versions are very similar, it’s always a good idea to train your users so you can be sure you are getting the most out of the new features and capabilities you paid for. Version 4.5 has features that can make you more efficient, and user training is the best way to expose your staff to these features so they can start using them immediately and be more efficient.
8. Do I have to upgrade my hardware or operating systems to get 4.5?
Maybe! Contact us for the latest hardware and operating system requirements.
9. Can I install the upgrade myself?
Maybe, but we wouldn’t recommend it. In some cases, upgrading is a multi-step process, and you want to be sure you are taking into account all the “extras” on your system – modifications, special reports, user-defined fields, etc. We have done thousands of system upgrades over the years and have a process that we work through each time, to be sure nothing is missed and your downtime is minimal.
10. How long will the upgrade take?
Like the price, the amount of time your upgrade will take will depend on the footprint size of your system, your environment, and what version you are coming from. We know your time is valuable, so we work with your schedule and try to keep downtime to a bare minimum.
